City of Sheridan Political Signage
Posted on 07/06/2020

The City of Sheridan requests that people campaigning for public office to please be aware of the City's political sign ordinance. The City would ask everyone to be mindful and respectful of other people's right to campaign. Political sign ordinances are designed to protect and promote open and fair elections.

  • All political signs must be located on private property.
  • Signs can be no larger than eight square feet (8 sq ft).
  • Signs cannot interfere or impede traffic and pedestrians.
  • Signs must be removed within 10 days after the election.  See Ord. 3-11(f).
  • Any political sign in the public right-of-way may be removed by the City should the owner refuse to respond after being notified of the sign's encroachment.
