SPOTLIGHT | LEGACY DIAMOND AND GEMS
Established on May 4th, 1964, Kraft’s Jewelry began its journey when Richard Kraft shifted gears from watchmaking to pursuing his passion for the world of fine jewelry in downtown Sheridan. Joined by his sons, Steve and Tom Kraft, in the early 1980s, the business flourished under their stewardship. In 1996, Steve began the process of acquiring the business from his father, leading it successfully until his retirement in 2017. In 2018, a new chapter unfolded as Spencer Kraft and his uncle, Tom Kraft, assumed ownership, rebranding the establishment as Legacy Diamond & Gems. Their vision was to bring a fresh life into the store with an interactive bridal center. In 2019, Tom became the sole owner of Legacy Diamond & Gems and initiated additional modernization efforts. Tom seized the golden opportunity during the main street construction to breathe new life into the store with a dazzling renovation in 2023. With Tom’s expertise as a GIA Graduate Gemologist and over four decades of experience, the store prides itself on offering unparalleled service, repairs, and custom jewelry. As they commemorate 60 years in the heart of downtown Sheridan, they invite you to celebrate their weeklong anniversary celebration from June 18th to June 22nd, featuring exclusive specials and surprises. Some fun things are happening downtown this weekend! Parking Update: Main Street block between Brundage and the north side of Loucks Street intersection now open for parking with a convenient U-turn at the end. Pedestrian access also available at crosswalks on this block. Friday Evening: Elevate your hosting game with a unique twist! Design your own Resin Charcuterie Board at The Paint Post! Gather your friends and join them for a night of crafting, laughter, and friendship. All materials and guidance provided – it's easy and fun! Friday Night Fun: Head to Blacktooth Brewing Co for a night of live music with Knuckles! Bring your friends, hit the dance floor, and groove to the beat! Friday Night Dance Party: Put on your boots and head on over to The Warehouse Gastropub & Liquor Store for line dancing and swing dancing! All ages welcome from 9 pm-10 pm, then it's 21+ from 10 pm-2 am. Let's dance the night away! Saturday Morning: Don't miss our double book signing event at Sheridan Stationery Books and Gifts in partnership with Friends of the Sheridan County Libraries or an exciting double book signing event! 2024 SHERIDAN MAIN STREET PROJECT | UPDATE CLOSURES
Phase II of the Main Street project is underway! Main Street from Brundage to Loucks is open for business access only - with a U-Turn at Loucks Street. Minimal parking available. Pedestrain use croswalks. All affected businesses in the closure are listed below and the bear paws indicate which stores have alley access and side street access (to the best of our knowledge). Many downtown businesses have taken the time to spruce up their back alley entrances to allow better access to their stores. As a reminder, sidewalks on Main Street will remain open during the road closures and there are free public parking lots close to downtown to accommodate easy access to businesses!
