First-Aid-CPR-AED Classes

Effective January 1, 2021, Sheridan Fire-Rescue  will provide online blended learning skills check only.  Classes can be completed online thru American Heart Association.  Once class is completed online, print off your Certificate of Completion and bring it with you to the Skills Check session.  Student can register for their Skills Check through our website or call our office at 307-672-6126.  If you want the classroom environment, please contact either Sheridan CPR at 307-751-0759 (First-Aid/CPR Classes) or Sheridan Memorial Hospital  at 307-672-1021 thru their website.

Following are guidelines that will be followed prior to attending our classes:

1.  Prior to entering the fire station, students will conduct a self check using the CDC checklist.  If students are sick, they should not attend class and reschedule.  Student Self Checklist includes the following:

     a.  Fever with or without chills (99.9F);
     b.  Uncontrolled secretions/excretions resulting in sneezing or blowing nose;
     c.  Prolonged sore throat;
     d.  Productive/uncontrolled cough or cough lasting more than two (2) weeks;
     e.  Influenza or COVID-19 like illness, fever and cough, shortness of breath;
     f.  Diarrhea associated with an acute illness;

2.  Students will have their temperature checked prior to entering the building.
3.  Manikins will be spaced at least three (3) feet apart.
4.  Students will not perform the breathing portion of CPR unless individual masks are provided.
5.  Mouth to mouth will not be practiced.
6.  All manikins and masks will be disinfected according to CDC and AHA guidelines (cleaned with alcohol).

Sheridan Fire-Rescue Offers a New Online/Blended Learning Version

Sheridan Fire-Rescue will also be offering an online/blended learning version for those that are interested in taking the classes online.  When choosing this option, students will be responsible for registering and completing the online portion of the blended learning class.  After completion of the blended learning class the student will contact Sheridan Fire-Rescue and schedule a skills check.  All skill checks will be scheduled by appointment only on the last two (2) Thursdays of each month between the hours of 5:00 and 6:00 p.m.  Sheridan Fire-Rescue's cost for the Online Blended/Learning is $35.00 and must be paid to City Hall (55 East Grinnell Plaza) prior to attending the skills check.

Prior to the skills check, students must present their certificate of completion to the instructor prior to the skills check.  The certificate of online completion must accompany the roster.

Instructors will follow the skills check sheets for all portions of First-Aid and CPR.

4.  BLS CPR:  $28.50 -;

To register for online blended learning skills check , go to the following document "Skills Check Only".  Payment is required prior to attending class and is non-refundable. Students that have not paid will be turned away at time of class. The Department will not be collecting monies. Please note all payments must be made to the City of Sheridan, 55 East Grinnell Plaza, or P.O. Box 848, Sheridan, WY 82801 prior to class time.  

A class reminder call will be made to all students a week before classes.

Effective January 1, 2021, all classroom classes for 2021 are cancelled.  We are still providing the monthly Skills Check Only Classes.
