Quick Start Guide: Creating a Box Login and Using the Public Portal (Not Required For Record Access!)
Welcome to the City of Sheridan's online public portal! While you do
NOT need a login to find information, an account activates more features, such as the search bar. An account does not grant access to any additional documents that are not already accessible above. Follow these simple steps to create a Box login:
Sign Up:
Click on the "Sign Up" button in the top right corner of the embeded records portal. Toggle from "business" to "Individuals and Teams" - Choose the free account option to get started (see photo)
Enter Your Information: Either Sign Up with Google, or Click Sign Up - Fill in your name, email address, and create a password.
Agree to the terms and conditions, then click "Submit."
Verify Your Email:
Check your email for a verification message from Box.
Click on the verification link to activate your account.
Log In:
Return to www.box.com and click "log in" (or this page and click on "log in" on the upper right hand side of the embeded portal). Enter your email and password, then click "Log In" to access your account.
Explore the Public Portal: Once logged in, you can access various search functions and resources available through the portal. Use the search and navigation tools to find the information you need. You do NOT gain any additional access to documents that are not already available via this embedded portal.
Tips and Troubleshooting
Forgot Password:
If you forget your Box password, click the "Forgot Password?" link on the Box login page and follow the instructions to reset it.
