CITY TREASURER

The City of Sheridan is actively recruiting a collaborative, energetic, team-oriented leader with a strong financial background to serve as its next City Treasurer. This position reports to the City Administrator and is responsible for leading and managing the operations of the Treasurer's Department, including financial management and budget administration. Key responsibilities include managing the budget process, analyzing the budget on a regular basis, preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, assisting auditors during year-end audits and determining investment options for city funds.

Minimum qualifications of the position include a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field and three to five years of related experience.

Salary range for this position is $98,807 - $109,164 annually with an excellent benefit package including health, dental, vision, and life insurance, state pension benefits and paid time off. CUSTOMER SERVICE SPECIALIST

The City of Sheridan is actively recruiting a friendly, flexible, and detail-oriented individual with high professionalism and excellent computer skills to fill the position of Customer Service Specialist. This position is responsible for performing technical, clerical, and financial accounting duties in support of the City’s Customer Service operations. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a busy atmosphere, as well as comfortable with working both independently and as part of a team. The starting wage for this position is $21.56 hourly, with the potential for advancement. SANITATION AND RECYCLING EQUIPMENT OPERATOR

The City of Sheridan is actively recruiting a positive and honest team player with strong customer service skills to fill the position of Sanitation and Recycling Equipment Operator. This position is responsible for performing equipment operation duties in the collection of trash and recyclables. The ideal candidate will have the ability to operate a variety of large trucks and heavy equipment; and possess or be able to obtain a Wyoming Commercial Driver’s License (CDL). The starting wage for this position is $19.53 hourly, with the potential for advancement. BURGESS JUNCTION VISITOR CENTER MANAGER

The City of Sheridan is actively recruiting a reliable, creative, self motivated individual with strong customer-service skills to fill the position of Burgess Junction Visitor Center Manager. This position is responsible for operating the Burgess Junction Visitor Center under the direction of the Sheridan County Travel & Tourism Executive Director, in partnership with the US Forest Service. This position is seasonal and will run from May to September. Housing may be provided if required. The starting wage for this position is $20.00 hourly. SEASONAL PARKS POSITIONS

Applications are being accepted for seasonal positions in the Parks Department for the City of Sheridan. The areas of focus for these positions will be the Cemetery, Golf Course, Grounds Maintenance and Community Forestry. The season will run approximately from April through September, with flexible start and end dates. Must be at least 16 years of age prior to the start date to operate the necessary equipment for these positions. The starting wage for these positions will be $15.00 hourly. There will be incentives for staff that complete the full seasonal period.  STREET MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

The City of Sheridan is actively recruiting a team-oriented and hard-working individual with great communication skills to fill the position of Street Maintenance Technician in the Streets Division. This position is responsible for operating specialized equipment in the construction, repair, and maintenance of city streets, storm sewers, and flood control structures. The ideal candidate will have road construction experience; and is required to possess a Wyoming CDL within six months of employment. The starting wage for this position is $19.53 hourly. This position is responsible for performing technical duties in the maintenance, repair and operation of the water and wastewater systems. This position is responsible for performing technical communications duties in support of Sheridan County law enforcement, medical, fire, and other emergency services operations. An incumbent in this position may be designated “Entry, Basic, Advanced or Professional” depending on experience, training and special duties. POLICE OFFICER

The Sheridan Police Department is recruiting to fill Police Officer positions. Join our team to help make our community a safe, great place to live. The hiring wage is $26.26 hourly, with lateral pay depending on experience. There will be a hiring bonus of $3,500 for non-certified Officers, and $7,500 for Certified Officers. CITY OF SHERIDAN BENEFITS OVERVIEW

Health Insurance: City offers health insurance to employees and dependents. City pays 80% of the premium for a high deductible plan. Employee may buy up to a lower deductible plan or have a lower premium for a higher deductible plan. Coverage begins the first day of the month following hire date.

Health Savings Account Contributions: $2,500.00 per year for family coverage/$1,250.00 per year for individual coverage on either high deductible plan.

Dental Insurance: City pays 100% of dental premiums for employees and dependents. Coverage begins the first day of the month following hire date.

Life Insurance: City pays 100% of premiums for life insurance for full time employees
o $25,000.00 and $25,000.00 AD&D for employee
o $2,500.00 for dependent children 6 months to 19 years ($250.00 14 days to 6 mo)
o $5,000.00 for spouse
o Optional voluntary life insurance available

Vision Insurance: Voluntary vision insurance available for employee and family

Retirement: City contributes 11.62% of employee’s monthly salary to Wyoming Retirement System. Employee contributes 7% of monthly salary to Wyoming Retirement System. (City contributes 11.63% toward Law Enforcement Pension plan and employee contributes 5.57%. City contributes 16% toward Fire Pension Plan B and the employee contributes 11.245%.)

Paid Holidays: The City offers 10 paid holidays per year. These holidays are: New Year’s Day, President’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day, Day After Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, and one Personal Day which can be taken any time during the fiscal year.

Vacation Leave: City Employees accrue 80 hours of vacation leave per year. This leave begins accruing immediately upon hire and can be used as soon as it is accrued. Accrual changes to 120 hours annually after 5 years of service, to 160 hours annually after 10 years of service, to 200 hours annually after 15 years of service and to 240 hours after 25 years of service.

Sick Leave: City Employees accrue 8 hours of sick leave every month. Accrual begins accruing immediately upon hire and can be used as soon as it is accrued.
