Alcohol Permit

Sale of Alcoholic Beverages:

  • Wyoming State Statute 12‑2‑201. (B) states that Malt Beverages to be distributed by Malt Beverage permittees are to be purchased from a Wyoming wholesale malt beverage licensee.

The dispensation of alcoholic beverages to promote or enhance a business related event is considered by state statute, a sale.

24-Hour Malt Beverage Permit:

Malt Beverages are classified as Beer and Wine Coolers only.

Wyoming State Statute 12‑2‑201. (B) states that Malt Beverages to be distributed by Malt Beverage permittees are to be purchased from a Wyoming wholesale malt beverage licensee.

Cost: $50 per day. To ensure that your permit is approved, please allow 21 business days for processing. 

24 Hour Liquor Catering Permit:

Only a Retail or Resort liquor license holder may apply for a liquor catering permit.

Open Container Permit:

Open container permits may be issued to allow the possession and consumption of alcoholic or malt beverages in open containers on public property.

An open container permit does not allow for the sale of alcoholic beverages.

Mobile Vending Permit

Mobile Vendor

Any person that sells or offers for sale goods, products, services or food, excluding fresh ready-to-eat produce from a mobile vending unit within the city. Weekly or annual permits are available. 

Neighborhood Mobile Vendor

A vendor operating on streets, sidewalks, alleys or other areas generally accessible to the public in residential zoning districts which provides a retail sale or service of only ready-to-eat or packaged food in individual servings from a mobile vehicle or pushcart licensed for such use. 

Mobile Vending Court

A group of two or more Mobile Vendors renting, leasing or using private property for the purpose of providing a location for Mobile Vendors to make sales.

 

Special Event Permit

Special Event Permits are intended for large events which encompass multiple types of special use permits. The type of events included are parades, farmers markets, expos, parade, celebrations, protests, rodeos, fairs, or similar type activities. These events may include alcohol, mobile vendors, street closure, caterers, etc. Permit costs are based on what permitting is required and the date the permit has been submitted.

Street Permit
Events to be held or conducted on any City of Sheridan street, pathway, or sidewalk.
