Planning Commission

The Planning Commission reviews land development proposals within City limits and makes recommendations to City Council for their consideration and possible approval. 

The Commission is guided by existing planning documents adopted by City Council and City code. The Planning Commission is also responsible for overseeing the preparation and update of the Future Land Use Plan and other long-range planning documents. 

Planning Commission Meetings

Planning Commission Meetings are held on the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month at 7:00pm in City Council Chambers, located on the 3rd Floor of City Hall, 55 Grinnell Plaza. 

Agendas for Planning Commission meetings will be published the Thursday prior to the meeting at the below link. You will also find recordings, minutes, and presentations from previous meetings.
